Church Ball

Martin takes his church ball pretty seriously. For him it's not just exercise. It's competitive and he plays because he wants to win.

It's also important to him that I'm there. It upsets him when I choose not to go in and watch him play.
So, the last couple of games I was sure to go, despite my lack of understanding about how important church ball is. I just want him to be happy :) and he's a good ball player so it's actually fun to watch.

He played in his last game last night. They didn't win but it was close the whole time so I think he was fine with that.

The pictures are all fuzzy but I think that's just how it goes.

NICE PASS! :)

NICE SHOT! :)

NICE REBOUND! :)

NICE GROUP SHOT! :)

LOOKIN GOOD! :)

ALRIGHT! GO MARTIN!

WAY TO GET THAT REBOUND!

The final score:

An exhausted husband.

He wants to play in a city league next year. And I will be a good wife and go to every game and cheer loudly :) Even if I'm not quite as competitive as Martin.

  1. OK Chels, this is so funny to me! Karl is the exact same way. Although, he doesn't really care if I am there...because if I am there, then so are the kids, and he would have to pretend like he knows us... He seriously schedules his entire day/week around when church ball games are. He comes home frustrated/borderline angry when his team doesn't win. Hilarious. I had no idea how serious this church ball stuff was. I would pay serious money to see Karl and Martin play together. That would be intense...and awesome!
